I am truly thankful that genetics has blessed (it truly is the word to use for this) me with good skin.
Sure there are breakouts every now and then but for the most part, my teenage years and into my twenties have been pretty clear. The only issue that I have, especially in the colder months, is dry skin. Like desert dry. So close to becoming a crocodile, kinda dry. I'm sure you catch my drift!
Year after year I switch to different cremes, I've tried more than I can recall, but NIVEA always seems to come back to my routine. And, funny enough, that also seems to be in my genes! The smell of NIVEA will always remind my of my gramma - and she swears by it! As soon as this one arrived in the mail, in a classic tin no less, the smell brought me right to her. This stuff has been kickin' it since 1911, proving that it's not going anywhere and really, if time says anything, that it can be trusted. Plus it's good across the board age wise!
What does NIVEA have to offer? Well they have a few new lines and products up their sleeves, but this classic creme:
- Has a mild formula suitable for the whole family, including kids
- All-purpose cream for all skin types, even sensitive skin (super key for me!)
- Reduces the look and feel of rough, dry skin
- Great for body, face and hands, and even really dry spots like elbows, knees and feet
- Does not clog pores (!!!!)
I truly recommend trying NIVEA if you haven't already, if not this classic tin then maybe one of their new anti-aging ones! The NIVEA Q10plus anti-aging line contains the energy coenzyme Q10 (which is a lot of science but hey) and creatine that is similar to that found naturally in our skin. And that science means that, apparently but I am not certain because I don't gave wrinkles, the ingredients work in harmony with your natural skin type to minimize the look of fine lines. Never a bad thing!
I don't know why, but I find it comforting when the ingredients list isn't a zillion words long, just seems like sometimes products have waaaay too much shoved in them! Also doesn't hurt that it's affordable. Sometimes I'll splurge on skincare, but that's not needed with this.
So tell me - what's a skincare product that you always go back to?!
