Morning Tea & The Floral Fragrance Collection with Yardley London

When I received my invite to have tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel I was nothing short of giddy. English Garden theme? It sounded like a dream, and was completely worth waking up early for.

I joined a room full of other bloggers and ladies from various magazines to have delicious tea and hear about the newest products coming at us from across the pond – Yardley London (a Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive!).  And delivering the presentation was given by Quentin Higham, the managing director at Yardley London, who was both honest and charming (might have been the accent too).

I also had my first scone and I’m convinced nothing will ever be this delicious again, it was beautiful.

Okay, back to the products!

Yardley London has been around for a long time, like we’re talking 1700s long. They typically sell to the 40+ range and I can see why – the scents aren’t the sweet ones I’m used to loving.

Now they’ve released moisturizing body mists which are handy for a quick spray that lasts (great for the younger gang) but they’ve also revamped a few of their products and released a couple of new scents – one of which I’ve fallen for.

Lily of The Valley

I find this one to be fresh – has a very clean scent!

Top Notes: Pear Accord
Heart Notes: Lilly Accord, Freesia Accord, Crispy Green Notes, Violet
Base Notes: Cedar Wood, Green Moss, Musks

I would say this is my second fave, totally grabbed the body mist and body wash. Reminds of spring and I find it totally refreshing.

English Lavender

I am completely biased on this scent because I’ve never been a fan of lavender – the ladies at my table found it nice & relaxing (which lavender is known to be!) I just cannot get into that scent!

Top Notes: Bergamot, Clary Sage
Heart Notes: English Lavender, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Jasmine, Chamomile & Violet
Base Notes: Wood, Vanilla & Patchouli

English Rose

Ah, my love!

I truly adore this scent – I even grabbed everything they had to offer in the line! I find it romantic, which might sound a little silly. It also surprised me because I used to not be a fan of roses but I love this. I’ve only worn it once (it’s just been a day!) but a few ladies in the store liked it and that always makes me feel like I made a good choice.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Tea Accord, English Rose
Heart Notes: Cassis, Rose Bud, Magnolia & Violet
Base Notes: Cedar Wood, Amber, Musks & Patchouli

The entire collection consists of: luxury soap ($18.99 for three), the eau de toilette ($18.99), a body mist ($12.99), perfumed talc ($18.49), and a moisturizing body wash ($9.99) – all with the lovely English Rose scent. There’s also a body lotion available as well for $9.99.Each scent has all these options as well! I know scents are more a personal choice, so there’s certainly a variety.

I would say that it’s an affordable line but also the quality is worth noting – they’ve really taken note from current health & beauty trends and the products are paraben free as well as their ingredients are over 80% naturally derived. Even the Eau de Toilettes are 90% naturally derived and use a vegetable alcohol base…which I didn’t even know existed!

Like I said, the Yardley products are available in Canada exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart and can also be bought online through their Beauty Boutique (ps totally on sale when this was published!). They also have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram so you can stay connected about anything upcoming.

I am a huge perfume fan, I rarely leave the house without a scent on me! What’s your go-to of the moment? I’m always curious to try the new scents out there.

I would love to sit down for a proper Afternoon Tea, especially with a scone. Try it with butter, jam and cream! x

Bergamot is one of my all time favorite essential oils. I have so many Bergamot scented candles! I’ll have to try it in a perfume now
