All About the Face: Janice Carol Cosmetics

It’s the final post with Janice Carol Cosmetics and this one is going to be short a sweet – but I assure you the product is worth talking about.

Of all the skin products I use, my favourite are face masks! It’s like visiting a spa, and I’m always down for trying new ones or even multi-masking. I always do one every Sunday night but during the week I like to mix it up, especially if it’s been a stressful one.

Janice gifted me her Rehydrating Masque which is perfect for this time of the year. The cold weather dries my skin out completely and then I lose every little bit of glow that I have, which isn’t a lot to begin with because my skin is dry on a good day!

Here’s what the masque has packed in it:

  • Green Tea Extract: Anti-oxidant that helps restore, protect and heal the skin
  • Kaolin: Has absorbent properties and astringent effect so it’s effective in cleaning and moisturizing the skin
  • Menthol: Antiseptic, cooling, refreshing qualities as well as a blood circulation stimulant
  • Paraben-free formula
  • Cream type masque that leaves skin feeling silky and smooth
  • Helps to tighten and tone the ski & helps to hydrate the skin
  • Suitable for all skin types

In terms of application, you can use this mask as needed (I usually use this one twice a week in my schedule of masks) and always after I’ve removed all my makeup and cleansed. I apply it with a brush but of course you can use your hands! I’ve switched to applying with brushes because it feels like I’m painting…plus then I don’t waste the mask all over my hands! Let it dry for around 10-15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Afterwards, I always follow with a toner and serum!

A little goes a long way with this masque and I feel like the jar is going to last a long time. Just make sure you’re doing it up tight afterwards so it doesn’t dry out.

This was the first product I loved from the box of goodies and it’s stayed a favourite. I think it’s important to treat your skin well, and if I’m wearing makeup all the time I need to make sure I’m keeping my skin in good health.

I was also sent a few face makeup goodies too – a baked bronzer and a concealer that also doubles as an eyelid primer.

The bronzer has the slightest shimmer and blends so easily so it keeps your skin looking natural. The concealer is a tad too light for me (a first!) but I’ve used it under my contour line to make my cheek bones pop a bit!

I loved having a week dedicated to Janice Carol Cosmetics and hopefully I’ve given you some shopping ideas! The line is truly meant for all ages and the skincare covers so many needs that I think it’s easy to find something that suits your skin issue.

Have a great weekend!
