Getting to know INGLOT Cosmetics

When INGLOT invited me to their store at Dundas Square I was pumped.

I didn’t know a lot about INGLOT, save for trying a few highlighters out at the dubloft, and who doesn’t love getting their makeup done? I find it to be like a spa day – calms me right down but I do leave looking a lot more glamorous.

I was even more excited when I realized that the MUA would be fellow blogger Anything But Marzipan! She’s such a doll and my goodness she knows her stuff.

We started off the visit with a tour of the store, because I hasn’t been before and there’s a lot to see!

The Before!

The Before!

INGLOT of course is for anyone who loves makeup, but it’s also meant for makeup artists so the quality is amazing – from the brushes and tools to the products themselves.

I arrived with a bare face, ready to get everything glammed up. I wanted a look with pink and purples because I cannot get enough of those shades on my eyes lately.

When I get my makeup done I am open to anything. I think it’s so much fun to try new looks and I learn something every single time.

I’ve really only been very into makeup this last year so I have a lot to learn, and I take any chance to do so. For example this time I learned how to (finally) do liner on hooded eyes like I have! It will still take some practice to get it right but at least now I know what I’m doing.

I also learned that using a yellow primer helps with my redness  – since I’m so pale, the green can be too strong!

And then I just sat back and let work her magic!

I loved all the products she used, and a few I had to buy a few on the spot!

First off is a lippie that’s a perfect dupe for Queen B, the Melted Matte Lipstick from Too Faced! It’s a gorgeous ‘your lip but better’ soft mauve, that’s so natural! It’s the HD Lip Tint Matte in shade 32, it lasts long and it’s comfortable on the lips. I’m wearing it in all these photos too!

And then I bought the Sparkling Dust in 02. This is a great multipurpose product, like you can use it on your eyes and in lipgloss and alllll over the body – but so far I’m using it daily as my highlighter. You can use it as a subtle glow or build it up for lots of shimmer.

And lastly I tried their O2M Breathable Nail Enamel in a Soft Matte finish – the shade I have is currently sold out and I get why…this colour is such a perfect neutral.

And! Anyone can visit an INGLOT location and get their makeup done. It’s $49 and redeemable in products so it’s a great way to learn about your newest additions to your beauty routine. That sounded like an ad and I assure you it is not, just wanted to share the beauty love!

Huge thank you to LJ and the INGLOT team for having me in! Cannot wait to visit again and try out more of the products.
