CBD: 3 Products I Reach For When I Need a Dose of Calm

Okay, all my mental health stuff aside, I think everyone on this planet could use some calm right now. Like you could be living your best life and be thrilled about EVERYTHING but a calm moment is never a bad thing!!! There are a ton of ways that I make a calm moment happen but CBD helps the process along.

Now I’m not saying this will work for everyone, I’m not prescribing anything but as I always do, I’m just sharing what I’m doing and maybe you can relate! Or maybe you hate CBD and that’s okay too.

And while this isn’t an alternative to medication (well it might be but that’s a whole other discussion) I have found myself using CBD these last few weeks as I stop taking my medication – even though I’ve used CBD beforehand as well.

Before we get to the products, let’s first clear up what CBD is exactly, because you might have questions. I know I did not too long ago.

What is CBD?

Let’s break this down: CBD stands for cannabidiol and it is one of the most critical cannabinoids contained in the cannabis plant and is the second naturally occurring primary cannabinoid (behind THC, which I will get to in a minute). It exists both in hemp and cannabis, and while cannabinoids are present within several plants in nature, cannabis is the only plant known to contain actual CBD.

What’s the difference between CBD and THC?

A great Q!

Very short answer: CBD does not get you high.

A very detailed answer? This graphic will help, as I am in no business to be a CBD expert:

I hope that clears it up for you. Like I said, no expert here but Google is a wonderful teacher.

The Products

You know when you’re looking for a recipe but you have to read the person’s life story first? I feel like that’s what I just did to you. So that’s my bad.

So let’s actually talking about the CBD products I’m using and loving.

300mg CBD Magic Stick

So when My Supply Co. reached out to me to work together, it took me no time to say yes. I’m always into trying new CBD and cannabis-related products! Also, while I was gifted some things, I also spent my own money and this blog post wasn’t even asked for – I just love sharing. But if you do want to save, SINCERELYBRICA gets you 20% off your first order.

Back on topic.

Calling a product a “magic stick” is a bold claim unless that product is a vibrator. I said what I said.

But you know what? Delush isn’t wrong about this!!!

This is a topical (please don’t eat it) and it smells and feels AMAZING! It’s so so nice to put on before bed, but also after the gym. I’ve been trying to lift things properly, but the other week I messed up my back just a little during a deadlift and this was a savior.

The menthol adds a nice tingle (already stoked to use this in the summer) and it really is like a tiger balm, which I like the name liger balm better.

I can also imagine it will last a long time, as it spreads easily and twists up kind of like a deodorant? It would be a great stocking stuffer!

24 Hour Hydration CBD Infused Vegan Bamboo Sheet Mask

LOVE a face mask, love that this one is biodegradable, AND that it is CBD infused!

300mg Sativa 1:1 Orange Flavoured Cannabis Drops

It is important to note if you haven’t noticed already, that these CBD drops do contain THC. Which means they will get you high – how high, depends on you.

I drop one dropper in my nighttime tea (Valerian Nights from David’s Tea to be exact) and zone out to a nature documentary. They don’t taste bad as is, thanks to the orange, but they go unnoticed in tea

I am a horrible sleeper. Always have been. These help me fall asleep quite fast and don’t have me feeling groggy in the morning. I can also take half a dropper easily during the workday if I need to focus or get the creative juices flowing and don’t get that ‘high’ feeling. Totally depends on your tolerance and body though! I am quite good at figuring out that for myself.

Have you tried CBD products?

Always curious to hear! I have introduced CBD to my mom, and even my aunt is a new fan! I think a lot of the hesitation around CBD goes away once you understand the difference between it and cannabis. Which, by the way, I’ll be doing a blog about verrrrryyyy soon!
