We’re entering the first (full) week of December and that means it’s holiday time!
It truly doesn’t feel like it, in Toronto with the warm weather anyway, and if you’re like me that makes it hard to get into the festive spirit. But shopping still has to be done!
I’ve picked a few of my faves (I think all available at Shoppers Drug Mart or Wal-Mart!) well under $100! All of these have been sent to me as PR samples but rest assured my opinions are honest as always.
Let’s get to it!
*cue the Christmas music*
QUO by Orly 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails
Such a great gift for the nail polish lover in your family, or friend group.
This advent calendar comes with 12 mini bottles of the QUO by Orly polishes in various colours and these polishes are nail treatments, base & topcoats all in one.
This set is sold exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart for $40.
QUO Cosmetic Crackers (Set of 6)
These classic crackers come with a mini lipgloss inside and make an excellent stocking stuffer.
QUO lip glosses pack the pigment and are perfectly glossy without being sticky – which is so very key when wearing a lipgloss.
The cosmetic crackers set sells for $15, and is sold exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
QUO Eye Shadow Contour Palette
A great (and easy to pack) palette for a natural look, these matte shadows certainly are in the lighter range but apply evenly without being patchy. They’re perfect for that ‘no-makeup makeup’ look that always seems to be trendy. I’m a huge fan of these matched with a bold lip.
I have always loved QUO’s brushes and these are no different – I’ll be totally honest I’m not sure I use them correctly…but I pack on the lid with the flat brush and contour the lid with the angled one.
This palette with brushes sells for $30, and is sold exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
QUO Lip Gloss Top Coat
Lip gloss is having a moment in the beauty world, particularly when it comes to top coats.
This one from QUO has a prism, holographic type effect and can be layered on top of any lipstick you’d like to jazz up for the holidays.
The lip gloss top coat sells for $5, and is sold exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
QUO Luxury Lipstick Wardrobe
Every year QUO woos me with their holiday lipstick collections. The formula is comfortable and long-lasting, and two of them are cream and two of them are matte.
This set of four sells for $30, exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
QUO Face Sculpting Palette & QUO Illuminating Palette
I’m putting these two palettes together but they are sold separately.
QUO face palettes are great beginner palettes because of the price point, but the quality is impressive. Both of them come with six shades and would fair better on lighter skin tones.
Each palette is $22 and sold exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Lip Smackers Holiday Finds
Speaking of beginner – the true OG lip balms. Who didn’t love Lip Smackers back in the day?! I think these would be perfect stocking stuffers for a younger sibling, cousin, you name it.
These are sold separately, but the price point is so low you can scoop up more than one.
The Biggy Lip Balms retail around $5 (my fave is Vanilla Bean) and the Holiday Gingerbread Lip Balm Trio Cane is around $10.
Soap & Glory Picks
I am including all of these because I fully believe everyone should be smooth from head to toe.
To start off, this scrub is amazing. Like smells so good you want to eat it amazing. I went through the tub so fast & I’m already on my second – I’m addicted. It has a sweet, maple smell that’s straight up delectable.
The Sugar Crush body lotion absorbs easy and goes a long way, but has such a rich feel. And smells extremely fresh as it’s lime scented.
And lastly – a hand and foot lotion duo. Basically an essential in the colder Canadian months!
The scrub is $20, the lotion is $16, and you can get the duo for $12 – and can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart!
Fave Skincare Duo
My holy grails for glowing skin, so I had to share. Also sold separately, but too good not to pick up.
First: The Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go pads are skin savers, seriously. They help resurface your skin and give you such an even, glowing complexion. Amazing for a stocking stuffer and perfect for travel. If you find them harsh, don’t use them daily!
And my number one beauty tool currently: the True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution brush by Conair. It comes with two heads, one for face and one for body, it’s waterproof AND rechargeable! Basically it unclogs pores and washes away the embedded dirt and oil that can cause breakouts and dull, patchy, tired-looking skin. Which id a no-no.
The Pixi pads are $28 and can be found at Shoppers, and the True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution brush is okay…$100 at The Bay but was at Wal-Mart for $50 and I know that isn’t helpful but I thought it was important to list the price differences!
Still scratching your head for more ideas? I’ve grabbed a few lists from fellow bloggers that might be able to help you out – or at the very least will help introduce you to other bloggers!
Amanda Roberts put together a gift guide for beauty lovers (aka perfect for me but hey):
